Tour Itinerary: 9 DAYS MOROCCO TOUR FROM CASABLANCA TO CASABLANCA
Day 1: Casablanca airport - Rabat - Meknes – Fes
The Morocco Imperial Cities Tour begins with you being picked up directly from Casablanca airport, and if time allows (according to your arrival time), we will tour the monuments of this Economic capital from the Square of the United Nations, the Boulevard Mohamed V, and the Anfa to the Corniche and the famous Great Mosque Hassan II .Then departure to Rabat. After having a meal, we get to explore what Rabat has to offer like visiting Hassan Tower & the prestigious Mohamed V Mausoleum then spend time in the gardens and the Kasbah of Oudayas, as well as pass by the Royal Palace built between the 18th and 20th century. Our Next stop will be Meknes (Morocco’s capital in the Ismaïlian Era) with its towering ramparts (the tallest in the country) and the famous Bab Mansour gate, the royal stables and the Jewish quarter. We will cross the holy city of Moulay Driss via the ruins of Volubilis (the roman city) in order to get to Fez for dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 2: Fez City Tour « Full Day »
Day 2 of the Imperial Cities Morocco Tour is all about discovering Fez the most ancient of the imperial cities and home to the regions first university built back in the 9th century. The city seems to be forgotten by time as it creates a striking fusion between medieval aesthetics and modern design. The city of 9000 streets is rich in all kinds of life… From vegetable sellers, Oriental pastry bakers and restaurants to laborers and craftsmen. As you walk you will hear the resonating voice of prayer searing over the rooftops as the artisans beat sheet after sheet of metal into masterpieces.
Day 3: Fez - Chefchaouen - Fez
Day 3 of the Morocco Imperial Tours will start by visiting the Rif area’s jewel of Morocco, Chefchaouen. Our professional driver and tour guide will pick you up at 7 am and transport you to the city filled with shady alleys and iconic white washed houses with blue turquoise doors, wrought iron windows and tile covered roofs. Enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the many Terrace cafes that overlook Tarik-Ben-Ziad mosque whose octagonal minaret is inspired by that of the Torre de Oro in Seville. Next get a closer look at the Andalousian style of architecture upon which the kasbah and its gardens are at the city center, then go visit the ethnographic museum that was previously a dungeon in the wall towers. Get introduced to the craftsmanship that made this city so famous as its inhabitants show you around one of the many oil mills (there are more than 1500 of them) and demonstrate their basket-making and pottery skills. Finally before being transported back to the hotel in Fez, you will spent sometime in the souk to buy some souvenirs to take back home.
Day 4: Fes – Beni Mellal – Marrakech
Following breakfast, we will head to Marrakech passing through Immouzer El Kander and Azrou, the Berber village well known for its handicraft cooperative. The ride continues through the mid ranges of Atlas that are decorated by shade trees to reach Beni-Mellal for lunch. Our next stop will be the hotel in Marrakech for Dinner and an overnight sleep.
Day 5: Exploring Marrakech « Full Day »
Day 5 of the Imperial Cities Morocco Tour is all about exploring Marrakech. After breakfast, a local tour guide will show us around the red city taking us step by step to see the historical monuments and places of cultural interest like the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, and the Bahia Palace. After a small lunch break at a restaurant beside the square we will have time to explore its souks and handicraft shops. The afternoon will be free time to explore at your leisure and wander through other parts of the city, followed by a dinner at Chez Ali with the exciting Fantasia show before returning to the hotel.
Day 6: Marrakech - Ourika Valley – Marrakech
For this day you will be departing on an excursion to Ourika valley, 30 km away from Marrakech that despite its closeness to the city has remained unspoiled. Deep in the high Atlas Mountains, the valley is populated by simple Berber and spectacular wildlife. Afterwards we make our way to Setti Fatma which is the last remaining Douar in the area; from there we can hike or ride up the mountain to discover the 7 waterfalls. We will have lunch in the valley before making our way back to Marrakech to spend the night at the hotel.
Day 7: Marrakech – Eljadida – Casablanca
We will depart to El Jadida town and port to spend time by the sea and to take a glimpse into the port city’s life. We will enjoy a fresh seafood lunch before making our way to Casablanca, the next of the Imperial Cities from Marrakech. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 8: Casablanca City Tour « Full Day »
The driver will pick you up to start showing you around Casablanca (AKA “White House” in Arabic Dar El Beida). The reason behind the name is all the white houses right on the ocean at the previously Spanish and Portuguese ports before being modernized. Stroll around the small square of Habbous district and the tight arcade streets that have managed to adapt modern architecture while maintaining the authentic feel of the medina and shop around for all kinds of Souvenirs. Don’t forget to visit the very picturesque Mohamed V Square and the United Nations Square designed in 1920 by the French architect Joseph Marrast. Visit the 200 years old of Sakala by the fort and finally visit Hassan II Mosque right by the sea.
Day 9: Casablanca Airport
You will be accompanied to the airport depending on your flight time as we wish you farewell and hope that you have had the greatest time with us.
