Tour Itinerary: Morocco Imperial Cities & Sahara Desert Tours From Casablanca 8 Days 7 Nights
Day 1: Casablanca
The first day of your Morocco Imperial Tours, after arriving at Casablanca airport will have you be transferred from the airport to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Casablanca – Meknes - Volubilis – Fes
The tour of the Imperial Cities From Casablanca begins after breakfast, you will be taken on an orientation tour of Casablanca (Morocco’s economic Capital) during which will cover the United Nations Square, Boulevard Mohamed V, the Anfa, the corniche and finally the famous Great Mosque of Hassan II (only an external visit), then we depart to Rabat. After lunch our tour resumes as we visit the Hassan Tower, Mohamed V’s Mausoleum and come across the Royal Palace(erected between the 18th and 20th century) then visit the renowned gardens and the Kasbah of Oudayas. Our trip continues to the Ismailian capital of the country, Meknes to visit the famous Bab Mansour Gate, the Royal Stables and the Jewish quarter. Finally, we will cross the ruins of Volubilis (the roman city) and the holy city of Moulay Driss to reach Fez for dinner and to spend the night in the hotel.
Day 3: Fez City Tour «Full Day»
The third day is all about discovering Fez, the oldest of all the imperial cities and the birthplace of the world’s 1st university going all the way back to the 9th century. The beauty of this city is the fusion between its ancient and modern aesthetic. The Old Medina is found behind huge walls and you will get to stroll through its 9000 tiny streets by foot …! Watch the artisans beat sheets of metal into art, then enjoy the local cinnamon & honey pastries. Shop around for spices, and all kinds of handmade souvenirs from the tiny shops. This day is a true highlight of our Morocco Imperial Cities Tour.
Day 4: Fez - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes
The day begins with a traditional Moroccan breakfast, afterwhich your Imperial Cities Morocco Tour resumes. We leave the hotel and Fez behind towards Merzouga. Along the way we will cross the astonishing Ziz valley, Errachida and stop for lunch in Midelt. We will reach our hotel in Erg Chebbi at around 4 pm. Enjoy the hotel’s pool for a while before embarking on a 2 hour camel trek into the desert. By sunset we will have reached the oasis in Merzouga desert. A nomadic camp will be set there for us where we will get to enjoy dinner and a night around the campfire under the starry sky of the desert.
Day 5: Merzouga Dunes-Tazarine-Agdaz-Ouarzazate
You will be woken up half an hour before sunrise, the wondrous lights that mark the beginning of the new day are not to be missed! Afterwards we reach our hotel for a quick shower and breakfast after which you will proceed to the next destination of the Morocco Imperial Cities and Desert Tour, which is Ouarzazate. We will be passing by Tazarine and the Draa valley then across the small volcanic Atlas Mountains. We will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 6: Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou Kasbah - Marrakech
Following breakfast we will visit the famous cinema studios followed by Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNISCO world heritage site for over 30 years, then we will stop for lunch. Our finally activity of the day is stopping midst the High Atlas mountains for tea before continuing to Marrakech. You will be dropped off at the hotel in Marrakech by 5 pm to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 7: Marrakech - Casablanca
Our drive back to Casablanca will resume after a traditional breakfast. As a direct contrast to the desert landscape we have witnessed along the trip we will be passing very gorgeous green valleys and hills covered in trees. Once in Casablanca you will have time at the Mall of Casablanca for a quick souvenir round up and then transfer to your Hotel for a dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Casablanca airport
In the morning transfer to the airport according to your flight time, then comes the fair-wells and the hopes that we have provided you with the best memories of Morocco’s Imperial Cities.
